The German Benedictine mystic Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179), was canonized and proclaimed a Doctor of the Universal Church in 2012. She is the fourth woman to be honored with this title in Catholic history and is venerated as a patron saint of musicians, writers, and natural scientists.
In this evening presentation, we will explore the continued relevance of her theological insights and mystical visions, especially her guiding image of viriditas, which means abundant and healing growth in nature and humanity.
