Yes, each of us is “getting older.” We have moved through our teen years and vocation discernment and have managed work, family, and national ups and downs. Every life stage has been “full of grace” and challenge.

For some of us, elderhood offers new graces and calls. We move forward with life-earned perspectives and spiritual at-homeness. We have a store of stories, loves, regrets, thanks, and humor. As we pray for our years ahead, we will explore together our elderhood wellsprings of wisdom, warmth, and wonder.

Miriam Brown, OP

Miriam Brown, OP, a Sinsinawa Dominican, is a spiritual guide, retreat facilitator, and presenter on current spirituality themes. Miriam holds a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Fordham University and directed an ecumenical organization for 13 years. Miriam has an eye for the Spirit’s movement in the world and flowing in each person’s precious life.
